We are developing high-value added new business centered on “Ships/Nonferrous metals” and “New energy/Environment”.

The Nagasaki Branch was established shortly after the war in 1947 as an important base for Sojitz Kyushu and Sojitz Group, dealing with ship equipment, nonferrous metal raw material, parts for land plants, etc. The Branch works to contribute to the development of its clients and the local economy.

In recent years, the Nagasaki Branch has been working together with Nagasaki Prefecture in the aviation industry, an industry Nagasaki positions and promotes as a growing field, and training support for robot-related industry. The Branch works to resolve issues with the local economy and for regional revitalization.

Ship Equipment Field

With Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. as our primary clients, we sell ship equipment for low-environmental load vessels such as CO2 carrier ships, ammonia mixed combustion fuel ships, and naval vessels. We also sell components for the FGSS (Fuel Gas Supply System) that supplies LNG and other gasification fuels to ships and components for Sox scrubbers that purify exhaust gas from ships.

Other products we handle include Cryostar gas compressors (manufacturer: Cryostar) delivered for high value-added ships built by Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (LNG carriers, LPG carriers, passenger ships, ferries, and special ships), Kongsberg-Maritime LNG tank level gauges (radar type) (manufacturer: Kongsberg-Maritime), spare parts such as the Marioff water mist fire extinguishing system for passenger ships (manufacturer: Marioff), as well as electric propulsion systems, etc. for defense equipment.

Nonferrous Metal Field

Supercharger Impeller for Vessels.

With Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. as our primary client, we sell aluminum castings and forgings, titanium forgings for defense equipment, aluminum impellers that are components for marine turbochargers, as well as aluminum moving blades and FRP pipe parts used in power plants.

We sell lapping surface plates, essential equipment for the production of silicon wafers for semiconductor substrate, to major silicon wafer manufacturers.

Regional Revitalization Field

Seminar held for companies in Nagasaki Prefecture

In the aviation and robot-related industries that Nagasaki Prefecture positions as a growth field, Sojitz is entrusted with promotion support work by the prefecture and other related local governments. We plan matching events, participate in exhibitions, and coordinate seminars.

Through contract business, we promote Nagasaki while deepening our relationships with companies in the prefecture that possess outstanding technologies and offer support for the introduction of new projects with the goal of vitalizing the prefecture.
